Clinton County Speedway Preps for 2 Race Weekend featuring the Return of 410 Sprint Cars
Mill Hall, PA – The Clinton County Speedway is preparing for a 2 race weekend this Friday August 13th and Saturday August 14th. The highlight of the weekend will be the return of the 410 Sprint Cars, which have not competed at the 3/8th mile oval since 2011.
The 410 Sprint Cars will compete in a $4,000-to-win, $400 to start race presented by NAPA and Toner Auto Parts. The show will feature time trials for the 410 Sprint Cars, heat races and a 35 lap main event. In addition, the Sprint Cars, the Pro Stocks and the Four Cylinders will be part of the program.
“We have had a number of drivers express interest in this race from across the state of Pennsylvania and New York,” says race promoter Jason McCahan. “Some of the latest drivers to contact us about racing with us include Billy Dietrich from Aspers, PA; Joe Kata and the Kata Racing Team, the Jacobus Brothers Racing Team featuring Andrew and Aaron Jacobus from Lindley NY. We are expecting a mix of 410s and 360s and maybe some 305s.”
“It should be a great weekend for the 410s, and we know the fans are really looking forward to this show,” adds McCahan. The last high profile race for the 410 Sprint Cars was on June 5, 2011, when Lance Dewease won at Clinton County.
Gates for Saturday will open at 4PM. Hot laps will be at 6:30 PM with Time Trails and qualifying starting at 7PM. NAPA Auto Parts is locally owned and operated by Toner Auto Parts with stores in Lock Haven and Jersey Shore.
The Friday night portion of the weekend will also feature Sprint Cars. Friday the RaceSaver Sprints will be the headline plus the Pro Stocks, 270 Micro Sprints, 600 Micro Sprints, and the Four Cylinders. The race will be presented by Brigandi, Gleghorn & Haffley Insurance Agency of Lock Haven. Gates for Friday will open at 5PM, Hot laps at 7PM and Racing at 7:30.
