Mill Hall, PA – Andrew Yoder of Middleburg had a fast race car utilizing the low line around the speedway for the majority of the laps to win the Keystone 40 for the Limited Late Models during Saturday’s season finale at the Clinton County Speedway.  Dylan Cecee of Avis won the Keystone 40 for the Pro Stock earning the $1,000 top prize.   Ross Perchak of Hazelton won the 270 Micro Sprints and AJ Hoffner of Turbotville won the 4 Cylinder feature event.

Shawn Shoemaker and JR Toner brought the field to the green flag for the start of the 40-lap event.   On lap number one, track champion Matt Cochran’s car slowed on the back stretch while Toner spun in turn number four to bring out the first yellow flag.  Following the restart, Yoder advanced from his fifth starting spot and quickly moved to the front.   On lap three the yellow flag waved again when Jermey Ohl spun in turn number two.   From that point on, the event went 37 laps non-stop with Yoder leading every lap through lapped traffic.   By lap ten, Yoder was leading Shoemaker and Ryan Zook.   One lap later, Yoder began to encounter lapped traffic.   Yoder utilized the low side of the speedway for the majority of the race, but also was able to use the high side of the speedway when dealing with lapped traffic.  At moments early in the race, Shoemaker and Zook seemed to be closing in on the progress of the race leader.  At the halfway mark, Yoder was leading Shoemaker, Zook, Jeremy Ohl and JR Toner.   Yoder extended his lead to over half of a straight away lead to earn the victory of Shoemaker, Ohl, Zook and Toner.   Sixth through tenth were Jim Yoder, Dan Condo, Joe Loffredo, Jamin Champman and Jaxton Garman.   Heat races were won by Cochran and Andrew Yoder.   Fast time was set by Ryan Zook with 13.777 setting a new track record.

Cory Long and Jasen Geesaman were the front row starters of the 40 lap Pro Stock event.  Geesman led the first two circuits, until Cecee, who started fourth made a pass for the lead as they raced out of turn two.   By lap ten, Cecee was leading Geesaman, Tommy Dawson, Cory Long and Denny Fourney.   By lap number 11, 17th place starter Shane Wolfe entered the top five.   Cecee quickly caught the back of the field.  Lapped cars allowed Geesaman to catch Cecee as Wolf made it a three-car race by lap number 15 in lapped traffic.  Wolf passed Geesaman for second on lap 15.  On lap number 24 the red flag came out when Mike Goodwin’s car caught on fire.  Goodwin escaped without injury.   Following the restart, Cecee held off the challenge by Wolf.  With ten laps remaining, Cecee continued to lead Wolf, Cory Long, Dawson and Denny Fourney.   Fourney passed Dawson for fourth on lap number 33.   Cecee claimed the $1,000 pay day over Wolf, Long, Fourney and Dawson.  Sixth through tenth were Nate Stoup, Noah Jensen, Marc Bitler, Chris Derr, and Danny Jensen.  Heat races were won by Cecee and Jensen.  Fast time in time trials was set by Wolf with a time of 16.168 seconds.

Ross Perchak started on the pole of the 20 lap 270 Micro feature event.  Perchak took the lead with fellow front row starter Glen Macomber running in second.   By lap ten, Perchak, Macomber, Logan Hammaker, Jeffrey Weaver and Alex Lukacs were in the top five.  On lap eleven, Hammaker got sideways and brought out the caution.   Perchak held off Macomber for the restart.  Perchak continued to the checkers to win his second race of the season at the 1/3 mile oval.  Macomber, Weaver, Lukacs and Sean Stolz completed the top five.  Sixth through tenth were Mac Wert, Jillian Maurer, Tom Quiggle, Cory Stabley and Shaun Musser.  Heat races were won by Stabley and Hammaker.

Jimmy Moyer led the opening lap of the 20 lap 4 cylinder feature. The caution waved on lap number four for Terry Karichner.  By lap number six, seventh place starter, AJ Hoffner worked his way to the front of the field.   By lap ten, Hoffner was leading Shawn Willamson, Zak Kline, Moyer, and Josh Norton.  Moyer charged back up to second by lap number 15.  With two laps remaining the caution came out for Matt Kauffman.  Hoffner held off Moyer for the win over Zak Kline, Hunter Flook and Josh Norton.  Sixth through tenth were Logan Betres, Chris Small, Jesse Matney, Troy Bennett and Shaun Williamson.  Heat races were won by Josh Norton, Zak Kline, and Jimmy Moyer.  The b-main was won by Steven Jacobs.

The race concluded the 2024 racing season at the Clinton County Speedway.  Speedway staff will begin planning for the 2025 racing season.   For the latest speedway information visit the speedways website at clintoncountyspeedway.com
