Kasey Weaver Wins at Clinton County

Mill Hall; PA – Everett’s Kasey Weaver has been fast in recent weeks at the Clinton County Speedway, on Friday night he parked his #4W in victory lane for the first time at the 1/3 mile oval. Denny Fourney of Lock Haven won his second Pro Stock event while Jeff Weaver Jr won the 270s Micro Sprints Zak Kline won the 4 Cylinders and Owen McFadden won the Young Gun Jr. Sprints.

Kasey Weaver and Dakota Schweikart started on the front row for the RaceSaver sprint cars’ main event. Weaver took the lead with the drop of the green flag. A lap five caution bunched up the field for the restart with Weaver, Schweikart, Matt Tebbs, Colby Womer, and Varner in the top five. A few laps later the caution flag waved for Timmy Bittner. At the race’s midway mark, Weaver was leading Schweikart, Womer, Varner and Tebbs. Womer moved into the second position by completion of lap number 14. On lap 17, the red came out for third place running Dakota Schweikart when his car rolled onto its side. Schweikart was ok.

Following the restart, Varner passed Womer for second, as Jarett Cavalet raced into the top five. With five laps remaining, Weaver was leading Varner, Womer, Cavalet and Tebbs and they continued that way to the finish. Sixth through tenth were Owen Dimm, Kolby Womer, Timmy Bittner, Ken Duke and Dale Schweikart.

Lock Haven’s Denny Fourney started in the second position and took the lead by the completion of lap number one. Pole sitter Marc Bitler settled into the second postion followed by Corey Long. The top three continued in that running order for the remainder of the event with AY Schilling finishing in fourth and Larry Knight rounded out the top five. Sixth through tenth were Jason Koch, Ronnie Ergott, AJ Hoffman, AJ Stroup and Jim Farley.

Tyler Clowes led the first six laps of the 270 Micro Sprint event. On lap seven, Jeff Weaver, who started eighth, took the lead followed by Clowes and Logan Hammaker. On lap number twelve Clowes and Hammaker tangled causing Hammaker to flip and bring out the red flag. Both drivers were ok. With three laps to go Weaver raced to the win over Mason McAndrew, Mac Wert, Jillian Maurer and Zack Glass. Sixth through tenth were Michael Petock, Adnrew Petock, Conner Metheney, Cory Stabley and Jason Paisely.

Zak Kline, who started fifth, quickly took the lead of the 4-Cylinder feature event. Larry Beachel was running in the second postion. Conner Cupp took second by lap number seven. Kline led every lap to claim the win over Cupp and Beachel. Terry Karichner and Coty Maines completed the top five. Sixth through tenth were Alyssa Snook, Kyle Strouse, Summer Beachel, Troy Bennett and Tim Teneyck.

Owen McFerren took the lead on lap three in the Young Guns Jr. Sprint Division to earn the victory over this brother Carson McFerren and Dalton Brezenski.
