Mill Hall, PA – Matt Cochran of Williamsport won the Limited Late Model Feature winner at the Clinton County Speedway. AJ Stroup won the Pro Stocks; Jeffrey Weaver of Lock Haven won the 270 Micro Sprints and Hunter Flook of Avis won the four-cylinder main event. Rookie driver Maddox Smith of Renovo and JR Toner of Bellefonte brought the field of Limited Late Models to the green flag in the Limited Late Model Feature. Toner led the first last with fourth place starter, Matt Cochran running second followed by Smith, Jeremy Ohl and Jim Yoder. Onlap number 7, Smith and Ohl tangled in turn number four to bring out the caution flag. While under the yellow, race leader, JR Toner went to the pit area with a flat tire. This provided Cochran the lead with Jim and Andrew Yoder now running in the top three. The caution came out on lap number 10 for a piece of debris on the speedway.
Cochran once again held off Jim Yoder on the restart. The remainder of the event ran caution free, as Cochran continued to lead the field, while Jim and Andrew Yoder battled for second and third positions. Cochran encountered lapped traffic on lap number eighteen. Cochran held on for the win over Jim Yoder, Andrew Yoder, Nick Loffredo and Len Stroud. Jr Toner was sixth, Jeremy Ohl was seventh, Maddox Smith was eighth, Levi Ardery and Kyle Strouse. Heats were won by Andrew Yoder and Maddox Smith.
AJ Stroup advanced from the fourth starting spot to lead the first lap of the Pro Stock main event. By lap number five, Stroup led AY Schiling, Robert Tressler, Denny Fourney and Brandon Moser. On lap number ten, three cars tangled while battling for fourth, fifth and sixth position involving Tressler, Moser and Johnny Bouse. Stroup held off the late race charges of AY Schilling to secure the win. Kris Owrig finished third, Todd Geyer was fourth and Jason Smith was fifth. Sixth through tenth were Mike Gray, Johnny Bouse, Ray Rothfuss , Mike Wright, and Cory Long. Heat races were won by Noah Kissinger and Moser.
Pole sitter Tyler Clowes led the first five laps of the 270 Micro Sprint feature. Sixth place starter Jeffrey Weaver worked his way to the front and passed Clowes by the completion of lap number six. The top two continued to run in that order for the remainder of the event with Shawn McAndrew finishing third followed by Bobby Sando and Cory Stabley. Sith through tenth were Shawn Musser, Mac Wert, Timmy Bittner, Tom Quiggle and Steve Fernberg. Heats were won by Bittner and Weaver.
Paul Young and Hunter Flook started on the front row of the 4 cylinder feature event. Young took the lead with Flook giving chase. By lap number five, Young and Flook lead Scott Englert, Donald Wynn and Joey Snook. A lap nine caution slowed the field. Young and Flook again battled for the lead, with Young crossing the start finish line first. However, Young’s car failed a post-race inspection, giving the win to Flook. Joey Snook was awarded second followed by Zak Kline, Donald Wynn and Matt Weaver. Sixth through tenth were Shawn Stahl, Chris Small, Tyler Stahl, Tim Muthler and Larry Spencer. Heat races were won by Shahl, Kline and Young.

Mill Hall, PA – Ryan Kissinger of Bloomsburg parked his #66 RaceSaver Sprint Car in victory lane at the Clinton County Speedway on Friday night. It was his first career win at the 3/8th mile oval. “I started working on sprint cars here at Clinton County and it was always a goal to race and win at this track,” said Kissinger in Victory Lane. Robert Tressler of Lock Haven won the Pro Stocks, Brayden Spencer of Berwick won the 270 Micro Sprints, Trevor Teats won the 600 Micro Sprints and Dylan Craft of Muncy Valley won the Four Cylinder division.
Kissinger and Kruz Kepner started on the front row of the Sprint Car main event. The duo raced wheel to wheel for several laps with Kissinger edging out Kepner at the start-finish line. The furious pace of the leaders was slowed on lap number six with a caution for Garret Bard who had just advanced into the top five.
The restart had Kissinger leading Kepner, Ryan Lynn, Jarrett Cavalet and Josh Beamer. Again, Kissinger and Kepner were in a fierce battle for the lead. On lap number eight, Kepner tried to slide past Kissinger but instead drifted high exiting turn two allowing Lynn and Cavalet to get by him.
The caution came out for a two-car accident on lap number 15 involving Austin Greenland and Reed Thompson. The restart found Kissinger leading, Lynn, Cavalet, Beamer and Kepner. Kissinger was fast using the high side around the speedway. Lynn kept pace with the leader as they entered into lapped traffic. With two laps remaining, the red flag came out when Mike Allman’s car flipped on the back stretch. Allman was okay. Kissinger again executed a flawless restart for the two-lap run to the checkers dash. As he exited turn number four the caution came out again for a spin, creating a one lap dash to the finish. Kissinger led the final lap to claim his first win of the season. Lynn finished second, Cavalet was third, Beamer was fourth and Daryl Stimeling took the fifth spot on the last lap. Sixth through tenth were Kepner, Dakota Schweikart, Dale Schweikart, Scott Lutz and John Smith. Qualification races for the 29 sprint cars included Kepner, Kissinger, and Beamer with Reed Thompson winning the B-Main.
Todd Geyer and Gary Mellot led the field of Pro Stocks to the green flap, by the completion of lap number one, Robert Tressler was out in front. Defending track champion, Brandon Moser quickly advanced from the seventh spot to move into second place. On several occasions Moser would try to dive under Tressler, but Tressler kept his momentum by utilizing the outside groove. Tommy Dawson moved into the third position, while Geyer and Chris Long battled for fourth and fifth. The leaders began to encounter lapped traffic with fourth laps remaining. In the closing laps, Moser continued to pressure Tressler, but couldn’t find enough speed to make the pass. The event went non-stop with Tressler securing the win over Moser, Dawson, Long, and Geyer. Sixth through tenth were Noah Jensen, AJ Hoffman, Gary Mellott, Brett Gordner, and Noah Kissinger. Heat races were won by Moser and Tressler
In the 270 Micro Sprint feature, several cars tangled on the opening lap with one car rolling over, to bring out the red flap. With a complete restart, Brayden Spencer quickly moved to the front of the field passing Jeffrey Weaver going down the back stretch. Once out in front, Spencer was able to open up a sizable lead over Weaver as the race went non-stop. Ninth place starter Cody Seigel advanced into third followed by Shawn Musser and Timmy Bittner. By lap number nine, Spencer began to encounter lapped traffic which allowed Weaver to close in slightly. But Spencer maintained his lead, winning by .429 seconds over Weaver, Seigel, Bittner and Musser. Sixth through tenth were Michael Petock, Cory Stabley, Bobby Sanso, Hunter Zimmerman and Matt Dixon. Heat races were won by Stabley and Weaver
Mason Peters and Jeffrey Weaver were the front row starters for the 600 Micro Sprint A-Main. Weaver led the first two circuits before fourth place starter Trevor Teats powered into the lead. The race went non-stop for all 15 laps. Once in front Teats was being chased by Weaver and Timmy Bittner. Cody Hauck and Mikey Smith battled for the fifth spot. Teats continued to click through the laps to earn his first feature win of the year. Weaver maintained second followed by Bittern, Smith and Hauck. Sixth through tenth were Dreck Swartz, Mason Peters, Sierra Hauck, Tristan Hoffman, and Dexter Strawser. Heat races were won by Smith and Cody Hauck.
Paul Young and Coty Maines led the field of four-cylinders to the start. Fourth place starter Hunter Flook claimed the lead by the completion of the first circuit. Flook, Maines, and Dylan Craft began to encounter lapped traffic by lap number five. On lap number six, Nick Snook crashed hard into the turn one fence. The driver was uninjured. Flook would lead the next several laps with Craft and Maines right on this bumper. Feeling the pressure, Flook tried to pass a lapped car but the two collied exiting turn two. The damage forced Flook to stop on the track with a bent right front rim. Craft inherited the lead with two laps remain with Maines and Shawn Wise now in contention. Craft led the final laps picking up the win over Maines, Wise, Scott Englert and Andrew Ricketts. Sixth through tenth were Joey Snook, Donald Wynn, Cody Beaver, Tim Muthler and Chole Smith. Heat races were won by Maines, Flook and Young. The consolation race was won by Matt Weaver.
The Clinton County Speedway will feature the Limited Late Models, this coming Friday Night, May 20thpresented by the Clinton County Economic Partnership and Tourism Agency. Mill Hall, PA – Clinton County Speedway successfully brought 410 Sprint Car racing back to the 3/8th mile oval for the first time in over a decade in 2021. This year, with much anticipation from fans and drivers, the 410s will return on Saturday, August 13th, presented by NAPA/Toner Auto Parts. This year’s 410 race will be named in honor of the speedway’s all-time 410 sprint car feature winner, Phil Walter of McClure, PA. Walter was the 1993 division champion and has 29 victories at the speedway. Walter’s first career win at Clinton County came on May 12, 1989. He earned four wins during the Speedway’s inaugural season in 1989.
“Walter was one of the original stars of the Clinton County Speedway,” says speedway promoter Jason McCahan. “We are thrilled to honor Phil Walter and his accomplishments, especially for what he has done for sprint car racing at Clinton County Speedway. Because we are honoring Phil Walter and his familiar #63, we are working hard to make this a $6,300 to win race.”
Walter had 93 career starts over eleven seasons and had a 31% winning average. He was a three-time winner of the Ed Shafer Memorial and a two-time winner of the Syracuse Qualifier.
“Clinton County Speedway has always had a special place in my heart,” said Walter. “I have many great memories of the time that I spent racing there. We were very fortunate to win some races and enjoy some success that made it possible for us to continue racing.”
During Walter’s career at Clinton County, he drove for various cars owners. He raced his own #63 for the first season at the speedway. During his career, he piloted cars for Dan Dietrich, Gene Jenkins, Carl Fry, Joe Watts, Lenny Krautheim, Selinsgrove Ford, Frank Anfuso, Gary Kratzer and Gary Ritter.
His most successful season at Clinton County Speedway was in 1993, while driving the #55 for Gene Jenkins. He won 10 of 15 races that season, claiming 6 wins in a row. He won the Syracuse Qualifier and the Speedway’s Championship.
“The Clinton County Speedway is a driver’s track,” adds Walter. “It is not about money or horsepower, but more about handling and driving. This creates good close and exciting racing for both the spectators and the competitors.”

Mill Hall, PA – Clinton County Speedway officials had to cancel the Friday, May 6th racing event as an all- day rain soaked most of the commonwealth.
The next event scheduled will be on Friday, May 13th with a five division show featuring the Laurel Highlands RaceSaver Sprint cars, the Pro Stocks, the 270 Micro Sprints, the 600 Micro Sprints, and the Four Cylinders. The event will be presented by Century 21/1st Choice Realty and Real Agent Bob Boob.
In addition to the five division show, kids will be part of the racing program. Kids will have the opportunity to race their Power Wheels, one lap around the speedway. Any Power Wheels type car is eligible. Kids must wear a bike helmet. The kids will be divided into two divisions based on age. And a third division will be for any Power Wheels that have been modified.
“This is always a popular event at the speedway,” added McCahan. “We appreciate the support of Century 21/1st Choice Realty and Bob Boob for sponsoring our kids activities again this year.”

Mill Hall, PA – Josh Beamer of Picture Rocks, has always been a contender to win in the RaceSaver Sprint Car division at the Clinton County Speedway. On Friday night, Beamer parked his #85 in victory lane after a three-car battle for the lead while in heavy lapped traffic in an event that almost went nonstop. Other winners of the night included: AY Schilling of Linden the Pro Stock, Jeffrey Weaver of Lock Haven in the 270 Micro Sprints, Cody Hauck of Milton in the 600 Micro Sprints and Montgomery’s Blake Snyder in the Four Cylinders. Lock Haven’s Dakota Schweikart and former 3 Time Track Champion, Daryl Stimeling of Lewistown started on the front row for the feature event. Schweikart took the early lead with Scranton’s Johnny Smith moving into second, and fifth place starter, Josh Beamer took over the third position. On lap number six Smith passed Schweikart, as the leaders began to encounter lapped traffic.
As the race continued, the top three weaved their way through lapped traffic at a furious pace. Smith would put two cars between him and the second place car of Schweikart and a few laps later Schweikart and Beamer would be on Smith’s back bumper. On lap number ten, Smith had his hands full, with Schweikart and Beamer followed by Stimeling and Ken Duke Jr. On lap number 20, Beamer passed Schweikart and Smith to take the lead. The top three drivers were all in contention as they continued to race through lapped traffic. On the white flap lap, the event’s only caution came out for Owen Dim who spun in turn number two. The restart created a one lap dash to the checkered. Beamer protected the low side entering turns one and two forcing Smith to the top side of the speedway. Beamer barely held the lead as he and Smith raced hard into turn numbers three and four. As they exited, Smith tried one more move and spun at the exit of turn four, collecting Schweikart, as Beamer crossed the line to claim the victory. “We’ve been racing RaceSaver for three years now, and I didn’t know if this day would come,“ said an excited Beamer in Victory Lane. “I knew Smith was there and I didn’t need that caution on the final lap. I knew my best shot was to protect the bottom.” Ken Duke finished second, Jarrett Cavalet was third, Garrett Bard was fourth, and Christian Rumsey completed the top five. Sixth through tenth were Tylor Cochran, Jeffrey Weaver, Daryl Stimeling, Dustin Prettyleaf and Ryan Kissinger. Heat races were won by Scott Lutz, Beamer and Smith. Eric Mathiot won the B-main.
Noah Kissinger and AY Schilling started on the front row of the Pro Stock main event. Schilling took the lead at the drop of the green flag. Corey Long moved into second place on lap number four, shuffling Kissinger back to third followed by Noah Jensen and Brandon Moser. At the race’s midway point, Schilling, Long and Moser continued in the top three, as Tommy Dawson and Ray Rothfuss moved into the top five. AJ Stroup moved in to fifth on lap number twelve. Two laps later Stoup took the fourth place position from Rothfuss. Schilling continued to lead every lap to claim his 58th career win at the speedway, currently second on the all-time win list. Long finished second, Moser was third, Stroup fourth and Rothfuss was fifth. Sixth through tenth were John Bouse, Kissinger, Josh Butler, Thomas Moon and Noah Jensen. Heat races were won by Jensen and Kissinger.
Corey Stabley led the first two circuits of the 270 Micro Sprint Feature. Stabley started on the outside of row number one alongside Mathew Dixon. By the completion of lap number three, firth place starter Jeffrey Weaver found his way to the front and passed Stabley for the lead. At the midpoint of the race, Weaver was being chased by Stabley, Cody Seigel, Brayden Spencer, Timmy Bittner. A lap eleven caution came out when Levi Brungard’s car stopped on the speedway. Weaver was able to hold off the challenges of Seigel, followed by Spencer, Bittner and Stabley. Sixth through tenth were Zach Glass, Michael Petock, Logan Hammaker, Devan Blose, and Tom Quiggle. Heat races were won by Sean McAndrew, Glass, and Weaver. Timmy Bittner and Cody Hauck brought the field of 600 Micro Sprints to the green flag. Hauck took the lead as the duo battled into turn number one. Johnny Smith advanced into the runner up position during the second lap and set his sights on Hauck. By the completion of lap number five, Hauck led Smith, Trevor Teats, Jeffrey Weaver and Sierra Hauck. Teats took the runner up position on lap number seven. Hauck continued to lead the final laps to post his first win of the season over Teats, Weaver, Sierra Hauck and JT Ferry. Sixth through tenth were Mason Peters, Timmy Bittner, Ethan Cunningham, Johnny Smith and Will Fisher. Heat races were won by Sierra Hauck and Cody Hauck.
In the Four Cylinder main event, Cody Beaver and Donald Wynn started on the front row. Beaver led the first two laps, as fifth place starter, Blake Snyder marched his way to the front. By lap number three, Snyder made a pass for the lead. On lap number 5,the red flag waved when last week’s feature winner, Hunter Flook rolled his car in turns 1 and 2. The driver was okay. Upon the restart, Snyder continued to lead with Scott Englert, Beaver, Joey Snook and Anthony Potter running in the top five. The leaders began to encounter lapped traffic on lap number ten, as Snyder raced to his first win of the year. Englert, Beaver, Snook and Potter completed the top five. Sixth through tenth were Chris Small, Donald Wynn, Adam Harris, Toby Maines and Damian Hand. Heat races were won by Andrew Rickets, Flook, and Dylan Craft.

Mill Hall, PA – Andrew Yoder of Selinsgrove is the leading all-time Limited Late Model Feature winner at the Clinton County Speedway. On Friday night, Yoder added another victory to his win total giving him 20 career wins at the 3/8th mile oval. Brandon Moser of Millerstown won the Pro Stocks, Timmy Bitter of Beech Creek won the 270 Micro Sprints and Hunter Flook of Avis won the four-cylinder main event.
Kevin Probst of Renovo held the pole position for the start of the 25 lap Limited Late Model Feature event with Lock Haven’s Denny Fourney on the outside. Probst led the field with third place starter Jim Yoder taking the runner up position. On lap number three, Yoder drifted high coming out of turn number two allowing several cars to get by including Andrew Yoder and J.R. Toner of Bellefonte. The caution waved on lap number seven for Mill Hall’s Tim Luben.
Probst restarted the race with Yoder, Toner, Matt Cochran of Williamsport and Jim Yoder in the top five. Another caution occurred on lap number 13 for Kaiden Bard. Probst again executed a flawless restart keeping Yoder in the runner up position. As Matt Cochran moved into third, Jim Yoder was fourth and Jeremey Ohl moved into fifth.
The top two were in a heated battle for the lead. Yoder kept trying to utilize the high side of the speedway to make a pass on several occasions but wasn’t successful until lap number 16. Yoder made the pass as the two exited the second turn. However, Probst battled back and to regain the lead on the very next lap and appeared to have the dominate car of the night. Probst appeared to be on his way to claiming his first career victory, until lap number 20. As Probst and Yoder raced into turns one and two, Tim Luben spun in front of the leaders, collecting Probst who had nowhere to go. Yoder inherited the lead with five laps remaining leading Matt Cochran, Jim Yoder, Jeremy Ohl, and Denny Fourney. The top five remained the same until the checkered flag, while Nick Loffredo, Kaiden Bard, Maddox Smith, Tim Luben and Len Stroud Sr. completing the top ten. Heat races were won by Andrew Yoder and Cochran.
Robert Tressler of Lock Haven and Noah Jensen of Wapwallopen led the field to the green flag of the Pro Stock feature. Jensen took the early lead while Brandon Moser ran in second followed by Tressler, AJ Stroup and Tommy Dawson. Moser made a pass for the lead on lap number five. Jensen maintained his position in second while Tommy Dawson and Tressler battled for third and fourth. Moser continued to lead every lap until the finish. Jensen finished second. With Robert Tressler finishing in third, Tommy Dawson in fourth and Corey Long finishing fifth. Sixth through tenth were John Bouse, Kris Orwig Jr, Gary Mellott, Logan Hile, and Mike Wright. Heat races were won by Stroup and Mellott.
Jeffrey Weaver of Lock Haven and Timmy Bittner of Beech Creek started on the front of the 270 Micro Sprint Main Event. Weaver took the early lead with Bittner, Zachary Glass, Mac Wert and Levi Brungard giving chase. Eleventh place starter Cody Seigel was on the move and entered the top five by the completion of the fifth circuit.
Bittner made a pass for the lead on lap number seven. Two laps later Weaver’s car came to a stop on the front stretch. Following the restart, Bittner led Seigel, Glass, Wert and Brayden Spencer. The red flag came out on lap number thirteen when Cory Stabley rolled into car onto its side. The final restart, Bittner was able to hold off the challenges of Siegel for his first win of the season. Glass finished third, Spencer was fourth and Wert completed the top five. Sixth through tenth were Tom Quiggle, Shaun Musser, Michael Petock, Mitchell Holden and Evan Dickey. Dylan Craft took the lead for the opening laps of the four cylinder feature event. By lap number four, Justin Williams advanced to the front spot. At the races midway point, Hunter Flook of Avis, who started eighth, took the lead from Williams. Flook and Williams battled the front as they worked their way through lapped traffic. A lap nine caution slowed the field and provide Williams an opportunity to try to make a pass on the restart. Flook however, won the race into turns one and two, with Williams, Bentley Williams, Andrew Ricketts and Chris Small running in the top five. Flook held off all the challenges from Williams to secure his first career win at the speedway. Justin Williams finished second, Bentley Williams was third, Chris Small was fourth and Zach Kline completed the top five. Sixth through tenth were Andrew Rickets, Donald Wynn, Chloe Smith, Joey Snook and Shawn Williams. Heat races were won by Dylan Craft, Justin Williams and Bentley Williams.

Mill Hall, PA – The Clinton County Speedway opened the 2022 race season on Friday night at the 3/8th mile oval. Tylor Cochran of Williamsport claimed the opening RaceSaver Sprint Car feature event, securing his second career victory at the speedway.
While excited for the victory, the memorable moment came when Cochran got down on one knee and proposed to his girlfriend, Emily and she said “yes.”
The night produced great racing in front of a large crowd. Other winners included Brandon Moser of Millerstown in the Pro Stocks, Jeffrey Weaver of Lock Haven in the 270 Micro Sprints, Johnny Smith of Scranton in the 600 Micro Sprints and Dylan Craft of Muncy Valley in the Four Cylinder division.
Matt Tebbs of Cogan Station and Dakota Schweikart led the field of 22 RaceSaver Sprint cars to the green flag. Schweikart led the first lap with defending track champion Garrett Bard of Wells Tannery running second followed by Tebbs, Dale Schweikart and Tylor Cochran. The leaders began to encounter lapped traffic by the completion of lap number six. While in lapped traffic, Bard was able to challenge Schweikart, but couldn’t make the pass for the lead. Once past the lapped cars and in clean air, Schweikart was able to but four cars-lengths between him and Bard. On lap number eleven, Mariah Romig and Levi Brungard tangled coming out of turn number two. Brungard’s car rolled onto its side bringing out the red flag.
Following the restart, Schweikart continued to lead with Bard, Cochran, Tebbs and Josh Beamer in the top five. On lap number 19, Bard made a pass for the lead as the top two entered turn one. Schweikart battled back and the two cars touched, causing Schweikart to do a 360 in front of the field. Schweikart was able to keep going but lost several positions as a result. As Bard headed down the back straight, he pulled to the inside of turn three to bring out the caution, due to his steering breaking from the contact with Schweikart.
Cochran inherited the lead with six laps remaining as Tebbs, Beamer, Jeffrey Weaver and Scott Lutz were now running in the top five. The event’s final caution occurred on lap number 22, when Wyatt Walizer slowed, Cochran brought the field back to green for the final laps and held off Tebbs, Beamer Weaver and Lutz. Sixth through tenth were Dakota Schweikart, Ryan Kissinger, Austin Greenland, Corey Brungard and Dale Schweikart. Heat races were won by Tebbs, Bard and Dale Schweikart. “The track was great tonight,” said Cochran. “We ran a used tire with four or five races on it and were still able to park it in victory lane. Schweikart and Bard were definitely the fastest cars here tonight, but we are thankful for the win.”
Cochran made the victory even more memorable, as he then approached his girlfriend, dropped down to one knee and proposed with an eruption of cheers from the large crowd of fans as she said yes!
Lock Haven’s Jeffrey Weaver started on the pole position for the 270 Micro Sprint Feature. Weaver took command of the field and led every lap of the 15-lap feature. Cody Siegel of Berwick started on the outside of the front row and tried on several occasions to challenge Weaver. A series of cautions occurred in the opening laps and the red flag came out on one of the restarts, as Steven Fernburg Jr. rolled his car over in turn number four. On a lap five restart, Weaver led Siegel, Shawn McAndrew, Brayden Spencer and Timmy Bittner. McAndrew’s car seemed fast all evening but had mechanical issues on lap number eleven while contending in the third position. Timmy Bittner moved into the third spot with Shaun Musser and Levi Brungard in the top five. Weaver held off Siegel for the win, Bittner finished third, Brungard took the fourth spot and Musser finished in the top five. Sixth through tenth were Mitchell Holden, Lucas Hess, Doug Reinard, Mac Wert, and Evan Dickey. Heat races were won by Spencer, Seigel, and Hess.
Noah Jensen of Nescopeck and Brandon Moser brought the field of Pro Stocks to the green flag. Moser jumped into the lead, with third place starter Cory Long running in second. By lap number four, Gary Mellot moved into the runner up position, Jensen was a close third, Long and Robert Tressler were also in contention. By lap number ten, Tressler took the runner up position from Mellott, who two laps later came to a stop on the front stretch to bring out the caution. For the restart, Moser had Tressler, Jensen, AY Schilling and John Bouse on his back bumper. Moser held off the challenges and cruised to this first win of the season. Sixth through tenth were Noah Kissinger, Tommy Dawson, Corey Long, Rich Fye, and Jason Butler. Heat races were won by Moser and AY Schilling.
Johnny Smith of Scranton started on the pole position for the 600 Micro Sprint feature event. Smith led the first several laps with Mason Peters running in second. Trevor Teats took the runner up position from Peters by the completion of lap number four. The event’s first caution came out when Peters and Weaver both slowed on the speedway while running in the top five. For the restart, Smith maintained the lead, while Cody Hauck took second from Teats, while Sierra Hauck and Nick Wood ran in the top five. Timmy Bittner moved into the top five on lap number 14. Sierra Hauck made a last lap pass to secure the third spot. Smith claimed the win, Cody Hauck was second, Sierra Hauck was third, Teats finished fourth and Bittner was fifth. Six through ten were: Mike Swisher, Nick Wood, Mitchell Holden, Peters, and Weaver. Heat races were won by Weaver and Peters. A full field of Four Cylinders were started with Cody Maines and Dylan Craft on the front row. Third place starter Shawn Wise lea the first lap. On lap number two, several cars were involved in a front stretch incident. Wise was passed by Craft on lap number four while Blake Snyder, Joey Snook and Andrew Ricketts rounded out the top five. Snyder moved into second on lap number eight. Two laps later Wise took his car back into the pit area. With two laps remaining Craft’s lead was diminishing as Snyder, Snook, Scott Englert and Ricketts were working their way through lapped traffic. When the checkered flag waved, Craft was the victor over Snyder, Snook, Ricketts and Englert. Sixth through tenth were Keith Haagen, Coty Maines, Dillan Hoover, Brett Shirk and Michael Barret. Heat races were won by Snook, Tyler Stahl, Chloe Smith, and Larry Beachel, Jr. The B-Main was won by Keith Haagen.

Mill Hall, PA – The Clinton County Speedway is gearing up to open is 34th season of weekly auto racing this coming Friday, April 15th. The RaceSaver Sprint Cars will be the featured event for the evening. Several veteran drivers and a crop of rookies are expected to make the 3/8th mile oval their Friday Night speedway. The IMCA RaceSaver sprint car events will be sanctioned by the Laurel Highlands RaceSaver Sprint Series, however several drivers from the PA Sprint Series and the Allegheny Sprint Series plan to attend. Two-time Clinton County Speedway track champion, Garett Bard from Wells Tannery, PA plans to return to defend his title. Other drivers who plan to be in attendance are Jonestown’s Scott Lutz, Williamsport’s Tylor Cochran, Picture Rock’s Josh Beamer, Ken Duke of Winfield, Dale and Dakota Schweikart from Linden, Jeffrey Weaver from Lock Haven, Hollidaysburg’s Ryan Lynn and 2021 Rookie of the Year, Dustin Prettyleaf of Williamsport. “This year, we are expected to have several rookie drivers moving up to the full size sprint cars,” says speedway promoter Jason McCahan. One of those drivers is Timmy Bitner from Beech Creek. Bitner has competed in both the 270 and 600 micro sprints on a weekly basis with great success. Last season, the high-school student announced he would be competing in all three divisions in 2022. Another high school student, Levi Brungard of Mill Hall is moving up from the 270 Micro Sprints into a full size sprint car. Brungard is a second generation driver to compete in a full size sprint at Clinton County. Another second generation driver, Wyatt Walizer is expected to run a full season and be a competitive rookie. Brother’s Erick Knopp of Danville and Kyle Knopp of Muncy are also making the move up from the 600 Micro Sprints ranks. In addition to the sprint cars, the Pro Stocks, 600 Micro Sprints, 270 Micro Sprints, and 4 Cylinders will be in competition as part of the five-division racing program. All divisions will draw for heat race position and there will be a re-draw for the feature. Gates will open at 5:00pm, with racing action getting underway at 7pm.
